The water curtain paint spraying cabinet is suitable for manual spraying operations of various hardware, plastic, PU, UV, furniture, and wooden products. It can also be used in combination with robots and five-axis spraying machines.
The principle of the water curtain paint spraying cabinet mainly utilizes the water curtain, fan, and water circulation system to capture, filter, and separate the paint mist and waste gas generated during the painting process. The details are as follows:
Formation and Function of the Water Curtain: The water curtain paint spraying cabinet is equipped with a water pump. The water pump extracts the water from the water tank and transports it to the water trough above the water curtain plate. The water overflows from the water trough and forms a uniform and continuous waterfall-like water curtain on the water curtain plate. When the spray gun is in operation, the sprayed paint mist will encounter the water curtain during its movement. Due to the characteristics such as the viscosity and surface tension of water, most of the paint mist will be adsorbed and washed away by the water curtain and directly carried by the water into the water tank below.
Traction of the Fan and the Effect of Airflow: Under the traction of the fan, a directional airflow is generated in the painting area, causing the paint mist and waste gas to be sucked into the water curtain paint spraying cabinet along with the airflow. The air pressure increases, and the originally calm water surface in the cabinet will raise layers of waves, forming a certain angle with the water curtain flowing down along the water curtain plate. This conducts a primary seamless flushing and adsorption on the paint mist and waste gas, making the paint mist and waste gas rapidly condense into dust particles and be washed back into the residue recovery box.
Air-Water Mixing and Separation: After the air containing paint mist collides with the water curtain, it passes through the water curtain and enters the air-water channel, where it strongly mixes with the water in the channel. When it enters the air collection box, the flow rate suddenly decreases, and the air and water are separated. The air passes through the water baffle and is discharged into the atmosphere by the exhaust fan; while the separated water converges in the air collection box and flows into the overflow trough. The water overflows from the overflow trough onto the water spreading plate to form a water curtain and flows back into the water tank.
Multi-stage Filtration and Purification: Some water curtain paint spraying cabinets are also equipped with multi-stage filtration devices. After the water curtain and the initial air-water separation, a small amount of paint mist and waste gas that have not been completely captured will enter the subsequent filtration area. For example, it passes through the area filled with environmental protection balls for curve pressure reduction, and then goes through a high-pressure spraying device for further cooling and condensation, turning the harmful substances in the paint mist and waste gas into dust particles. Under the action of the high-pressure spraying, they are washed into the residue collection box or the water tank again.
Recycling of the Water Cycle: The water circulation system in the water curtain paint spraying cabinet enables the water to be continuously recycled. After the water in the water tank is pumped out and used to form the water curtain and for spraying operations, it undergoes processes such as sedimentation and filtration to remove the paint residues and impurities in the water, and then returns to the water tank for reuse. Some water curtain paint spraying cabinets will also add special flocculants to the circulating water to change the adhesion state of the paint mist, making the paint mist form into slag blocks for easy cleaning.
